Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F and cut the Apple Pie Bar into small pieces and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Bake the bar pieces for 6 minutes and golden brown. Let cool completely.
  3. Place the cooled bar pieces into a food processor or nutribullet and blend until fine crumblesform.
  4. Transfer the crumbles to a mixing bowl and combine with the almond flour, protein powder, cornstarch, baking powder and salt. Whisk in the egg, milk and oil.
  5. Prepare an 8” round waffle iron with non-stick spray and high heat.
  6. Cook the waffles according to the waffle iron instructions and golden brown. This recipe makes 1 ½ ( 8”) waffles or 6 waffle triangles when cut into pieces.
  7. Stir together the glaze and dip one side of each waffle triangle into the glaze and serve.
